We All Have Demons

Society has come to a point where people are now judged by what their status is rather than what they've done. No revelation for sure, but why is there so much ignorance in our world today?

I wish I could sit here at my computer and say I had the answers or didn't in some way contribute to the problem. I don't think there is one person out there that can honestly say they haven't displayed some form of ignorance, innocent or otherwise. What I see is people who are condemned for what they do or how they act. Better yet, for what they SAY! Ha! Imagine condemning someone for exorcizing their right to freedom of speech. The fact is that there are people all over the world going through horrors neither you or I could possibly comprehend. Some are more public than others and when we as society turn a blind eye to these horrors, I call that 'collective' ignorance.

But who cares what I think, the issue is the lack of understanding in the world today. Sounds cliche but that doesn't mean it isn't true. For there to be an inherent understanding of why someone acts out, swears constantly, loses their temper ect., seems like a fantasy to me. There is no way to have full understanding of someone's personality or what they have been through in their life. Whether they are suffering from a serious illness or even personality disorder. Look, we all have demons but I think we need to address them as society a little better. When we decide to get off our asses and ASK some fucking questions, we will be better off as human beings.

What things may come

You know as my inaugural entry into this blog of mine I figured I would talk about something that is both fascinating and terrifying at the same time.

This whole business with Sony Pictures cancelling the release of the movie 'The Interview', is just a sad and relevant commentary on our society now-a-days. So because the now infamous 'Sony' hackers threatened to commit 9/11 attacks on theatres that show said film, the company decided to pull the movie for safety reasons. I'm sorry but I'm calling bullshit on this one. Could it be that the threats received about the movie are just a fortunate circumstance for Sony to have an excuse to pull what most certainly was likely to be a box-office bomb this holiday season. Even if pulling the movie was in fact based solely on the idea of safety, some theatres weren't even going to bother showing it even before these stupid threats surfaced.

So why is this more terrifying than annoying? Well now North Korea is threatening the United States with attacks against the White House if the U.S doesn't agree to a joint probe into these Sony hacks. If this suggested probe is to prove innocence, I feel like threatening to attack the wronged party is the opposite of what one must do to retain the opinion of innocence. I also feel like its only a matter of time before some moron on either side decides things have gone too far and World War 3 breaks out. I mean it seems as though North Korea has the balls to try something so idiotic as to start the third war to end all wars. Here's the BIG problem: Compared to the first two times around, this one will definitely be the one to end all others.
